BrightPair is a marketplace connecting students with independent tutors. Tutors set their own prices and availability; BrightPair handles scheduling, payments, and the virtual classroom.

You must be at least 16 to book lessons, or have a guardians consent. Lessons may be recorded only when both participants explicitly agree before the session starts.

Abusive behavior toward tutors or students results in permanent removal. BrightPair may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

We store your email, bookings, messages, and lesson history to run the platform. Recordings, when both participants consent, are kept for 30 days and then permanently deleted.

We never sell your data. Payment data is handled by our payment provider and never stored on our servers.

You can request a full export or deletion of your data at any time via the contact link below.

Cancel any lesson free of charge up to 12 hours before it starts — the amount returns to your BrightPair balance automatically.

Cancellations within 12 hours: 50% of the price returns to your balance. No-shows without notice are not refunded.

If a tutor does not show up, the lesson is refunded in full, automatically. Pack purchases are refundable pro-rata for unused lessons within 30 days.
